The A500 Grade specification is governed by the American Society of Testing and Materials and covers cold-formed welded and seamless carbon pipe used for structural purposes. We deal primarily we grades B and C:

Specifications
The outside diameter cannot vary more than +/- 0.75% for sizes larger than 5cm OD and the wall thickness cannot be more than 10% less than specified.
